How We Research

Planning a day trip from Cairo to Luxor, a Nile cruise, or a hot air balloon ride over the West Bank means putting real trust in the details you read: the price, the pickup time, what is included. This page explains where those details on cairotoluxortour.com come from, so you can judge our comparisons yourself instead of taking them on faith.

Where the tour data comes from

Every tour on this site is listed and sold on GetYourGuide, and that is where we pull the facts from. Prices, durations, ratings, review counts, what is included, and cancellation terms are all read directly from each tour's listing there. Right now we compare 18 tours across flights, sleeper trains, and river cruises between Cairo, Luxor, and Aswan.

  • Tour listings last checked: 3 October 2026
  • Prices can change at any time, and the price you see at checkout is the one that counts.

We recheck listings when we update the pages, but a listing can change between our checks and your booking, so always confirm the current details on GetYourGuide before you pay.

How traveller reviews are used

Numbers only tell you so much. We also read recent traveller reviews to find what people keep bringing up: what went well, what caught them off guard, and what they wish they had known before booking a sunrise balloon flight or a long transfer south.

When we quote a review, it comes from a real traveller, it is sometimes shortened for length, and it always links to the tour it is about, so you can read the full context yourself.

Practical information

Guides to Karnak Temple's opening hours, distances between Cairo and Luxor, the best seasons for the Nile Valley, and how to actually get there come from official sources, maps, and recent reports from travellers. These details are checked whenever a page is updated, since schedules and conditions in Egypt do shift.

How affiliate links affect this

This site earns a commission when you book a tour through links to GetYourGuide. Those links do not decide which tours are listed or how they are ranked; our comparisons are built on the listing data and reviews described above. You can read the full picture in our Affiliate Disclosure.

Corrections

Egypt moves quickly, and so do tour listings. If you spot something here that is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will check and fix it.
